Which is more venomous a black mamba snake or a brazilian wandering spider?
Hi I would like to know which is more venomous a black mamba snake or a brazilian wandering spider. Which venom is more potent.
relative to quantity, the black mamba.
relative to venom lethality, the Brazilian wandering spider.
the snake has the capacity to deliver 20,000 times
the amount of venom as compared to the spider.
Is it legal to own a black mamba snake?
I was wondering if an average person is allowed to own a black mamba or any venomous snake if he wanted one?
My guess would be no they are not legal in the US. Not just because they are the most venomous snakes in the world, but because I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to import animals from other countries. And black mambas are naturally aggressive so it would take any chance it had to strike at you and you would most likely die.
Will I get into trouble if black mamba snake kills an intruder?
I was wondering if I was away for a week and placed a black mamba in my house and it bites and kills an intruder, will I be in trouble?

How can I buy and train a black mamba.

I heard they are the most agressive snakes and will attack rather than run. So it would be a perfect home protection "pet"
most aggressive...ha ha... ..pet?..ha ha! yea..you can not train a black mamba , one bite will kill you, it kills more people in africa then any other animal, it is the the second largest most venimous snake in the world, it gives no blank bites, one bite , your dead unless you have the anti venom right there beside you...depending on where you live you would probably go to jail just for having one in your house.
and once you release it in your house, how are you going to pick it up,? this is a snake that will never tolerate you it will only try to kill you for the rest of its life...where are you planning on getting one?..lol..
yea good luck with that!
I dreamt a baby black mamba snake was chasing me,what does it mean?
My causin caught it with my help and i gave her permission to crush its head.
I had a dream about 40 minutes ago about some weird stalker chasing me with balloons and this guy who fed his friend exploding porridge, who's head then exploded all over this white wall covered in writing.

It doesn't mean anything. It's a dream.
Could a Fierce Snake or Black Mamba kill an elephant?
Is it possible for a venomous snake, such as the Fierce Snake or Black Mamba to put out enough venom in one bite to kill a full grown African Bush Elephant?
First, I doubt a snake's fang could petetrate. Even assuming petetration, the fang is only about an inch long, at best. The elephant's skin is several inches thick. No way the snake can get its venom into the elephant's blood stream (which would be necessary to harm so big a creature.)

But for the sake of argument, let's say the venom does get in somehow.
The effectivity of venom relies in large part upon the mass of the victim. It takes more vemon kill larger creatures than smaller ones. I don't have figures for the Fierce Snake but the the Mamba can deliver a maximun of 400mg of venom (typical is around 100mg per bite). It takes 10-15mg to kill a full grown human. A full grown african elephant has approximately 50 times more mass than the average human so logically, it should take at least 500mg of venom to kill the elephant. That's more than maximum amount of venom a single mamba can possibly produce and 5 times more venom a single bite typically delivers.

Potentially, a hemotoxic venom could cause nercrosis of the tissue around the snakebite, which might eventually lead to infection and death. However, both snakes mentioned use neurotoxins, not hemotoxins.

So no. It is very unlikely that either snake can kill an elephant.
Is the Black Mamba the deadliest snake in the world?
This has got me kind of boggled. I know Anaconda is the most dangerous but recently, I happened to catch this show on Nat Geo and it showed encounters with the deadliest snakes in the world. The guy in the show rated the Black Mamba as the deadliest. For all I know, Green Mamba is deadlier than the Black mamba so any clues?
Thanks for helping!
the inland taipan is the worlds most venomous land snake
Whats more deadly? Box jellyfish or black mamba snake?
I hear the black mamba is one of the most deadliest snakes in the world, also the jellyfish is the most dangerous in the ocean which one is most deadliest?
well the snake you can run away from, in the ocean w/ the jellyfish you're completely out of your element and they have the advantage, I say they 'cause they come in swarms and if you're caught in a swarm, well let's just say you're in way over your head.
Is the black mamba (snake) more dangerous than the cobra or vice versa?
According to Animal Planet and what we've learned in school, the Black Mamba is the most dangerous snake in the world (and the fastest one at that) because of A) it's aggressive nature, B) its potent venom, and C) the ability to strike repeatedly with more venom being injected each time.

However, on an episode of Animal Planet's "The Most Extreme," it was noted that the King Cobra was the deadliest. Athough its venom is less potent than that of the Mamba, it can inject copious amounts of it. According to this show, the Mamba is the 3rd most dangerous snake. The second is the Taipan, a venomous snake found in Australia (but the Taipan is quite shy unless it's cornered).

To me, I have reason to believe that the Mamba is the most dangerous considering its aggressive nature and the potency of its venom. If bitten, a person has between 45 min. and an hour to receive anti-venom treatment, which isn't very long, considering that anti-venom is scarce where the Mamba lives.
If you were to randomly meet two snakes, a black mamba and a king cobra, together at the same time in the same environment, then yes, you would be in greater danger from the black mamba, simply because they are more aggressive.

However, if you are talking about how likely it is to be killed by either snake for your average person living in the world today, then the king cobra is definitely the most dangerous. This is mostly because it lives in a highly populated area and frequents habitats full of high, tall grass where it is likely to be unnoticed until it is too late.

Any comparison of hazards needs to include not just the potential severity or lethality of the potential hazard, but the likelihood that it will occur. In terms of which is more dangerous, falling into the sun or being hit by a car, the sun would be instantly, irrevocably lethal, while it is quite possible to survive being hit by a car. However, in terms of which one is more likely to kill me today, I'll be a lot more cautious while crossing the street than I will be worried about tethering myself down to avoid accidental solar immolation. So the car is more dangerous.
